GEORGE NEWSTEDTVICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICERAs chief operating officer of Excalibur, George Newstedt manages the company’s daily operations and sales teams throughout North Carolina’s major metropolitan markets. He has primary responsibility for sales force management and financial operations. He plays a leadership role researching and acquiring new technology that gives Excalibur expanded capabilities. In 1998, he participated in the concept and design of the U. S. Postal Service’s Mail Processing Total Quality Management (MPTQM) program, modeled after Malcolm Baldridge principles. In 1999, he led the development and implementation of the Quality Program for Excalibur Presort Service, the company’s first-class presort affiliate, which is the 9th company in the country to be certified for quality by the Postal Service.After graduating from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Business Administration, he worked as an Insurance Analyst for Boat U. S. Prior to joining Excalibur, he was employed by Wachovia Bank for 10 years in positions that included Executive Banker and Business Banker with responsibility to grow both loan and deposit portfolios and generate fee income. His most recent position at Wachovia was as a Regional Business Banking Manager. |
