BARBARA WALLERVICE-PRESIDENT, MARKETING SERVICESWith responsibility for all of Excalibur’s client service activity, Barbara Waller manages the interface of all internal departments (sales servicing, data, production, billing) and external suppliers (such as the U. S. Postal Service) that touch the customer. She also is responsible for the company’s management information system that tracks estimating, pricing, costs, production scheduling and client contact data. Barb is chief “troubleshooter” at Excalibur, finding solutions to challenging situations and addressing all issues related to providing quality client service. After graduating with a BS in Business Administration from Western Carolina University, Barb was a member of the 4-person team that helped create Hanesbrands Inc.’s (formerly Sara Lee) successful Mail Order Program. She was program manager for Nurse White, a mail order catalog and direct response program that provided apparel and accessories to nurses. She had responsibility for all strategic planning and direct mail execution for the $20 million program. Day-to-day responsibilities included event planning, budgeting, testing, results analysis, print production, creative development, and agency interface.She then spent three years in the Direct Response Unit at Long Haymes Carr Advertising (now Mullen) as the account executive on the Wachovia direct mail account. There she had responsibility for providing quality account service on all aspects of the bank’s direct mail, including creative development, budgeting, print production, postal knowledge and interface with all vendors. Barb has more than 28 years in the direct mail, marketing, and printing industry. An avid baseball fan, she has served as a director of the Winston Salem National Little League board, volunteer Director of Athletics for Our Lady of Mercy School, and a director of Our Lady of Mercy School Board. She successfully recruited Excalibur as a Winston-Salem National Little League team sponsor where her husband coached and her sons excelled. |
